MPT hosting MPT Mobile Seminar to share tips with Myanmar people how to use smartphone safely and efficiently

[:en]Yangon, Myanmar, February 4, 2016– Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT), the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, announced today that they will hold 56 Mobile Seminars on mobile use and internet safety across in central region and delta region in Myanmar between February 8thand March 9th 2016. The seminars will be held at schools, universities and industrial zones in 28 townships in Myanmar. MPT team will explain how to utilize smartphones safely and economically to their maximum potential, as part of MPT’s commitment to improving the lives of the Myanmar people.

During the seminars, MPT will explain the usefulness of smartphones, the possible problems caused by inappropriate usage of smart phone, the best use MPT services. MPT will also share the tips on how to control data usage and avoid unintentional surge.

Mr.Koichi Kawase, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operation, said “MPT recognizes that there has been rapid growth in smart phone use and the usage of mobile internet in recent years, but knowledge on internet security and awareness for cyber abuses have not improved at the same rate. We would like to achieve greater user awareness for all telecommunications customers, by explaining how to use smart phones responsibly, sharing tips on internet safety, and making sure our customers know how to use all of our services.”

From April 2016, MPT will conduct more MPT Mobile Seminars in all the places where MPT Branded Shops are located. The seminars will be held at the following townships.

Ma U Bin, Phyapone, Bogalay, Mawlamyaing Gyun, Nyaung Tone, Pathein, Nga Pu Taw, Labutta, Myaung Mya, Wakema, Yegyi, Kyounpaw, Ingapu, Kyaingyin, and Hinthada.

Mandalay Region –

Aung Myay Thar Zan, Chan Aye Thar Zan, Pyigyitagone, Mahar Aung Myay, Patheingyi, Chan Mya Tharsi, Pyin Oo Lwin, Meikhtila, Kyaukse, Myinchan, Pakkoku, Nyaung Oo and Kyauk Pa Daung.[:]
